At GT Contractors we welcome you to talk to our past clients, visit completed projects and to read our customers’ reviews before you contact us for your build.
If you haven’t found an architect GT Contractors can arrange one for you to carry out a full design service if you wish. We can also apply for any permissions that are required while we undertake your proposed works.
While some building projects require planning permission not all jobs do. Some are completed under permitted development. You might still need to have drawings and structural calculations but you may not need to go through the whole planning process. It’s always worth chatting with us to find out so we can advise you on the next steps.
Not necessarily. Not all building projects require planning permission. Permitted development rights allow you to extend or build within certain parameters, dependent on the size of your house and garden, or where the build is located. Bear in mind that permitted development rights that apply to many common projects for houses do not apply to flats, maisonettes or other buildings.
Similarly, commercial properties have different permitted development rights to residential dwellings.
GT Contractors can advise you on whether your project falls within these guidelines or if it requires full planning.
From start to completion, all works will be fully overseen on a day to day basis by your Project Manager. In addition, this is also reviewed by Gary, the Contracts Manager and owner of GT Contractors.
GT Contractors aim to remove the stress out of your building project. Weekly site meetings with clients and regular updates by email are essential to provide you with expert advice and reassurance throughout the project.

All work is carried out on a fixed priced contract, complete with a payment schedule and the materials are fully guaranteed.
Any change can be made to the contracted works. This is your dream home we are making a reality. Dependent on your project and the change required, it might require additional permissions or building regulations to adhere to, but we will work closely with you to ensure that these are obtained.
We work with you through every stage of the project – after all, we want you to get exactly what you want.
On average we work on a three month lead time. Sometimes we can rearrange things to fit you in sooner, but please don’t be disappointed if we cannot accommodate your requested dates. We are worth the wait.
